Pigs Fly
In Fayetteville, there are random statues of pigs. This may seem strange and not be true to your neck of the woods, but I suppose it's part of the charm here in Kosse's hometown. At the library, the pig was decked out as a turkey for the Thanksgiving season with feathers and more and Ky and Kosse loved it. Can you guess which costume the pig was dressed in for Christmas?

Let's Write Letters
I like to make sure Ky has some direction to all that genius rolling around in his head. I am a big fan of this dry erase book that has letters, shapes and more.
Now check out the writer in the making:
I think he's getting very good at most of the alphabet. Go, Ky! |
Does this look right to you? |
I can do anything brother can! I'm a big boy too with big boy attitude! |
Choo-choo; All Aboard!
Ky, Kosse and I picked out a gingerbread train to make and give to Kaleb for what would have been his 3rd birthday.
As a funny side story to this post, when I picked up the train the day before we were taking it to Kaleb, I noticed a little "mouse" had been sneaking candy pieces off of the back of the train. When confronted with the evidence, Ky simply said that if Kaleb was here he'd want to eat them too. I couldn't help but think he was probably right...
This is the kit. |
Finished train. Incidentally, this was much harder than I anticipated but Ky and I pushed through and I think did a pretty good job. |
Kosse helped KB and I by repositioning the train several times. |

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have a cute picture of Kosse to share but sadly I seem to have reached my limit of pictures....I didn't even know there was a limit. Apparantly trying to delete pictures from the storage area deletes them from the blog. I'm not sure what to do exactly; so, currently kosse and the rest of us is under construction...or should I say offline....

Life as a 1 year old
Well, Kosse slept later this morning. I think he might have been a little worn out from all the partying! He seems to be enjoying being one very much...And he definitely enjoyed the pudding gran and grandpa left in the fridge!
Thank You Everyone!

Do You Know Your ABC's?
While wrapping Kosse's presents this morning, he managed to sneak a dinosaur that sings the ABC's off the edge of the table. I guess it will be wrapped later when he has moved his interest, because I can't bear to take it from him. See why?

Breakfast
Kosse eats a banana every morning. In fact, lately, I can't seem to keep them in stock.
Previous to the following picture, Kosse and I had a small discussion as to whether or not he could have the spoon I was eating my cereal with. He wanted it very much, (has anyone else noticed how small matters can turn into huge dramas with little kids when they are SERIOUS about what they want?) and I told him he could have it when I was finished eating.
Here he is with half of it shoved in his mouth! |
Good morning everyone from a very happy baby! |
The sun is definitely shining on us! I'm so happy that Kosse is reaching his one year milestone. Where does the time go? |
Check out the look of triumph mixed with a tint of disgust.... |

Milestone Alert!
Today Kosse was sitting on my lap when he leaned in and gave me a kiss! Granted, it was slobbery, tonguey, and kind of on my mouth and nose at the same time somehow, but it warmed my heart! I love this kid so much. Who wouldn't want to get kisses from this little boy?
Also, here is an update on his curls:

Hot, cold, hot, cold
While it is warm during the day, the nights have started to get pretty chilly. Kosse is not very cooperative about keeping a hat on, but here are a few pics I managed to get before he pulled it off for the tenth time after I put it on again and again. I smile to myself at how determined he can be once he has made a decision.
I definitely see Dickson/Feerer facial traits in the last picture!
