Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Last night the boys put out carrots for the reindeer.  This morning Ky shouted joyfully, "I see bite marks from the deer!"
(Have you ever found yourself eating carrots at 2am? I was a little tired and therefore it took a few before I realized I could just bite them off.  But, hey, carrots are tasty and healthy so I guess it's okay.  If I was Megyn Kelly, then at this point I would say but kids Santa's reindeer are real I'm just talking about eating carrots because I blogged about it...haha)

The boys dumped the stockings as opposed to pulling out items one at a time.

There was a train set and a hot wheels track to set up and play with.  I'm a pro now at understanding fuzzy pictures and misaimed arrows...

I love these kiddos!  and Kaleb, you are always in our hearts.

Christmas on the Square courtesy of Lincoln, AR

After Ky's party, we loaded up and went to enjoy Christmas festivities in Lincoln.  There were pony rides:
Symphony and Xara

Ky

Kosse with Dan walking beside him...he cried the whole ride.  Kosse that is...not Dan!
Santa and Mrs. Clause were there to take requests.  Ky would like a dragon and knight in full armor.

 There was a meal provided.
Kosse enjoyed a hotdog.

and delicious chicken, beans and potato salad

Party Hard

A fun time was had by all to celebrate Ky's 6th birthday.
There was arts and crafts in the making of party games.

Ky said his wish aloud when he blew out the candles.  He wished for a tiger and lion to keep in his back yard.

Enjoying cake

Ky is a grateful kid and loved all his presents.

I found these cute Sesame Street glasses for him.  He said he was drinking just like a grown up now that he was six.

There was a contest to see who could get the most nerf things stuck on the door...

and balloon animals...

and just general mayhem...

"Pin the mask on the ninja turtle" courtesy of Symphony's design

They formed a band and played a few songs, but the band broke apart when an argument erupted over whether to name themselves the Spiders and the Turtles.  Well, many bands break up over many different reasons....

I love these Ninjas!

Our Weekend So Far...

Yesterday, Kosse and I baked a cake and decorated the house in Ninja Turtle theme for Ky's birthday.

This morning Ky wanted to help ice the cake.  He used whoppers for the claws on the turtle and tamales to make the eyes and tail.  So creative!

The picture I wish I could share next is too dark but I didn't have time to adjust lighting in the room.   The story is very precious though...I bought a nativity scene and have told the boys the story of Jesus and why we celebrate Christmas over and over.  This morning the boys made cinnamon rolls and were eating them when I heard Kosse saying..."Here, Jesus" (imagine it in a cute two year old language).   I looked over and Kosse was sharing his cinnamon roll with baby Jesus inside the nativity!
