Dad installed a new connector on the sink in the bathroom so that I can fill the boys' pool from the sink instead of the water hookup that is located in the middle of the front of the house. This is a great help to me...the boys were very interested in what Granpa was doing and had to be involved even if it was close quarters. I imagine there are a couple little boys on Hemlock that have squeezed into small spaces to be part of a project also!
After work was finished, we headed to the pool. Kosse is a total waterbaby and actually jumped off the ledge to Granpa's arms! He made a very proud Granpa and Moma!
Then we came home for cake and Ky told us he was in charge of the party games...so he and Symphony made this pin the tail on the donkey game which I adore and plan on keeping. Much fun!

Splash pad, where art thou?
Xara's birthday party was at the Bentonville Splash Pad. The boys had lots of fun once we got there...I circled the location for a while before I figured out how to get there. A fun time was had by all and there was pizza, cake and presents to add to the shooting fountains of water everywhere!

Let's Do Homework
I try to set aside time as often as possible to work with Ky in a preschool workbook that has various activities in it. Lately, Kosse gathers his papers and crayons, climbs into his seat, and does work along side big brother....so cute and, of course, brilliant!

Always a Reason to Smile
I've felt a little stressed lately due to finances and work stress and just normal life stress I guess and today Kosse reminded me that there is always a reason to smile. I was trying to pick up pots and pans that Kosse has pulled into the living room and take them back to the kitchen when I passed by this tent....
What happened next was truly one of those moments you wish you had a camera rolling. A rib bone came flying out of the tent and landed on the floor just outside of it. Then a small hand reached from under the flap and felt around blindly until it had grabbed its intended object, and as quickly as it had appeared the rib disappeared back into the tent. What was going on inside that flap?

Fun with Friends
After turning the living room into a giant fort that was used to cover themselves while they changed between super hero and regular person, Symphony and Ky played some games on PBS kids online. Xara and Kosse were getting needed rest...the next night Xara had a stomach bug and Kosse was up teething!

Step up to the Show of Wonders
This Saturday the library hosted Roger Clemente's Show of Wonders for it's Family Time. There were plenty of awesome magic tricks that the boys enjoyed thoroughly!
Afterward we had a special treat of one of Uncle Lucas's favorites (Braums). The boys like the banana split but I tell them their uncle might opt for the Chocolate Mint shake...
Hard to make out...but this was a significant moment where Kosse opted to sit with brother during the program...as opposed to now slightly sad and lonely but proud moma... |
Ky (in blue shirt) wanted a front row view of the excitement. |
Amazing tricks of wonder... |
