As Kosse gains more control of his movements, I have enjoyed watching him pick up toys or decide to throw them down or roll/scoot toward something, etc. But the sweetest thing happened when I was holding him while rinsing out dishes at the sink and he snuggled his head down on my chest and sighed. He was so content and I was filled with love and warm feeling to know that I could give him this comfort. This morning he again snuggled his head next to my neck, said ah and fell asleep. As he grows from my baby boy to a big boy to a little man and on, and no longer wants cuddles from moma, I hope that I can always remember this simple time and how precious it truly is. God definitely blesses us giving us the joys of parenthood!

To slobber on or to slobber on..
I can't quite decide if Kosse is more excited about playing with toys these days or soaking them with his slobber. He doesn't discriminate I've been slobbered plenty. While holding him above me in the "airplane" position to get some giggles out of him, I even got his slobber in my nose! Gross!

Checking in with Ky
![]() |
I don't appreciate getting the braids taken out of my hair... |

I love the library and the computers for kids. After this, I'm going to do all the puzzles on the tables. |

I love ham and cheese at Subway... |

and I love it when Corrine gives in and we share a cherry icee! yum! |
This may look like a random branch from the yard... |
but when Corrine ties some craft bead line to the end it becomes a fishing pole. |
I'm reeling it in; it's a big one! |

No socks, no shoes, no footwear of any kind...
During a recent webcam, grandpa asked where Kosse's socks were. I explained that many, many times I have put socks on him and he directly sets to taking them off. He focuses intently and on nothing else until he rids himself of these icky things! He is quite the pro now and usually has them off in no time, so I had resolved to let him go sockless. When I saw a pair of sandals that had a velcro strap, I thought surely this would cover his feet. This is how it worked out....

The cute sandals at the center of it all. |

A couple minutes after I put them on and strapped them tightly...notice its on the floor. |
![]() |
Ok, pull at strap and rub my free foot on it... |

Now, pull at the top.... |
![]() |
Good, they're free! |

What? I like to make my own choices, moma, and I choose to wiggle my toes freely! |
Planting and Snoozing
When Ky and I picked out flowers for by our front door, we also picked a plant for Kaleb. I'm not sure what its name is but it has pretty purple "flower balls" as Ky called them. I finally got to the cemetary today with Kosse and I labored to make a hole in the rocky Arkansas "dirt." I pulled weeds and was fairly satisfied with the looks of things by the time I left. Kosse snoozed peacefully in the shade but I imagine by next spring when we plant out there he will be more interested in digging the dirt than snoozing! On a sad note, Kaleb has a new baby grave next to him. The baby's name is Ariel Buller and she was just short of 2 months when they lost her on December 20, 2011. My prayers go out to this family.
Catnaps
I wish it was still acceptable as adults to throughout your day randomly fall asleep in the arms of a loved one!
